Don’t forget to post your ideas for the Eco Code acrostic poem! Anything from one line to all seven would be great. We all need to agree to it so that it works for all of us, so why not have a go. There will be a prize for everyone who enters. If you don’t want to write it, post it here.
On Tuesday 1st September, we had our first meeting of the Eco School team. We did our environmental review of the school and developed our action plan. This will help us achieve silver status and hopefully a green flag! Afterwards we went into the garden and did some hands-on work. We tidied, created a bug village and found lots of bugs!
We will be holding our first ‘Open House’ of this school year on Tuesday 15th September. Doors will be open between 11am and 12 noon and the invitation is extended to all parents, families and members of the local community to come and see what we have been doing in the first few weeks of school. Light refreshments will be served in the nursery.
As you all know Marybank and Strathgarve Primary have done a play about Joesph the multi coloured Dream Coat. It was worth it because it turned out so well and the audience loved it! In some years time there will be another play so we all hope more people will come to that play! Thank you for all of your lovely comments.
On Thursday 23rd of April, the P.7s went to Dingwall Academy for an Anti-Bullying Play. On the 17th of April 2009 Heather, Isla, Beth, Rachel & Ella discussed how to improve our garden. We went to take a look out to our garden from one side it looked bad but from the other side it looked worse!
We drew a plan of how our garden should look like also Ella phoned up Simpsons Garden Centre with help from Heather. We managed to have an agreement with them, if they would help us with our garden and they said so, in return we would put them in our press release. It was a VERY Succesful morning with the help of Ella!!
